Why We Chose Dark Mode for PayGBot (And Why It Matters)

When people first see PayGBot, one of the first things they notice is the dark interface.

Some assume it is because dark mode looks modern.

Others think it is just a design trend.

The truth is much more personal.

PayGBot was not designed around trends. It was designed around people.

The story begins with my daughter.

Like many people, she spends a lot of time in front of a computer. She also has dyslexia, ADHD, and Irlen Syndrome. Bright white screens with dark text made it difficult for her to stay comfortable for long periods. She often found herself needing frequent breaks because the screen felt overwhelming after a while.

One day she asked a simple question.

“Could you make it darker?”

That small request completely changed the direction of PayGBot’s design.

Instead of asking what looked the most modern, we started asking a different question.

“What helps people stay focused and comfortable while they build something important?”

That became one of the guiding principles behind PayGBot.

We wanted the platform to feel calm instead of overwhelming.

Designing for Real Life

Most entrepreneurs do not work on their businesses from beautiful corner offices during business hours.

They work at the kitchen table.

After the kids are asleep.

During lunch breaks.

Late at night after working a full-time job.

Sometimes they are tired.

The last thing we wanted to do was create another bright, noisy interface demanding their attention.
